What differentiates Infor WMS from other similar products?

The support is immediate and knowlegable. We have never had an issue that the software vendor could not resolve. Menu security and beyond. Applications when a file is locked, or a particuular field is populating a screen that we are unfamiliar with, the support team knows the exact file, the exact field, and where that field is affected by other programs/applications. The team left the install with a good understanding of Menu security, and application outcome.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The Support we get and the ability to update as it allows on the IBMi Platform - the ability to execute a PC Executable, then it will update the Source Code and re-compile all of it's features. When a Payroll issue has occured, the support team is immediate within hours there to resolve our issues. Resolution has never been an issue with Infor.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The lack of a graphical interface that would interact with the IBMi Paltform through SQL or other methodolody.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Obtain the latest model of the AS400 IBMi and ensure you have systems level support in house, not with a vendor. Absolutely keep the software up to date as INFOR will notify the client when an update has been released. No matter how minor the update, keep the software up to the most recent fix / addition. We fell back 3 versions and the impact to production as significant. Due to inability to schedule all the updates we were forced into spot, specific issue updates, which were even more cumbersome when a standard update was installed.

What differentiates Infor WMS from other similar products?

Honestly, there is a number of positive things to talk about this software when it comes to the features! which are listed below, 1. Easy of using the software with connected PDTs for each zones in the warehouse 2. Smooth ASN generations and reports generation to top management 3. Despite initial investment; the ROI is beyond the expectation. 4. Ability to integrate with topnotch software like (Oracle) 5. Propper allocation of picking based on the parameters given(For Example based on FIFO and LIFO)

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Other than day-to-day operations by using receiving, putaway dispatching the items to customers. there are many good things about this application. One solid feature is the ability to run numerous reports by using this software based on the user's requirements. For example, if you need to run reports to know the complete cycle of SKUs inside the warehouse from inbound to putaway and afterward the location to outbound; you can easily generate such reports. Likewise, the end-users are easily able to operate this software; therefore you do not need to allocate a big budget to hire experts to operate this application.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There are a few hiccups that prevail with this software but such cases have remedies but still need the intervention of expertise like IT and vendor support team! For example, it is obvious that WMS integrates with other top-notch ERP software; however the on-time integration with other related ERPs' is not occurring at the same time, hence the results are varying! In order to correct this, you need to have the expertise to resolve the matter and that consumes time. In order to overcome this, you need to have solid IT technicians.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

There are a few areas that the developers need to focus on in order to attract new customers and retain the existing customers. One area to focus on is, making things easier on the interface. For instance, make solid hotkeys to generate reports or run the functions. These initiatives would help users to work smoothly on this platform. Another area to develop is improving the boring working interface. The interface is much outdated and needs to add extra features to enhance the performance.
