What differentiates Workday Skills Cloud from other similar products?

Workday Skills Cloud uses AI to continuously update and understand employee skill sets, creating a real-time, searchable skills database that’s directly tied to career development

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I used it to identify employees with overlapping skills who could be upskilled for leadership roles, saving the company a costly external hire. I also appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with Workday Learning for personalized training suggestions.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It may overlook transferable skills if they aren’t explicitly listed. Additionally, employees often need reminders to update their profiles with new skills, which makes the data less reliable.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It’s worth investing in complementary tools or processes to validate skill data—managers can play a crucial role here.

I think it's the capability to analyze your workforce as a whole and identify the areas where you need to hire or develop skills.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Great with career path learning. The targeted learning recommendations.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Their resume screening ai is so bad, don't rely on it. I tell you this from experience.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Workday skiils is great for finding top talent after you integrate it with job boards, beyond that is a big ask.

Skill mapping allows training programs to be linked with specific skills. Based on company policy, tool offers a lot of customization. Direct linking with external tools such as ServiceNow.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Workday AI assistant offers great insights and enhances the dashboard experience.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Skills export especially in libraries is tedious. Various entry points still require manual data entry for correct mapping.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Great companion for people's team, helped us greatly in up-skilling our employees and appraisals.
