What differentiates Unitrends Backup Software from other similar products?

Its very similar to other offerings, and works fairly well. We have not had any dramatic issues with it and we do twice daily backups.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The file restoration is a godsend in an end user environment where files get accidentally deleted all the time. Works pretty well.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The interface is a little clunky and could use a full streamline and renewal.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would give it a halfhearted recommendation. Its a fine product but it really needs a refresh.

What differentiates Unitrends Backup Software from other similar products?

UI is really easy to handle with easy installation and integration. Scheduling backup windows was easy. Features like optimized linux based virtual appliance and the built in Ransomware protection was just amazing.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

DR backups efficiently in one place very easily in less time.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The replication process of backup is definitely not easy process. Support was good but sometimes takes number of days to respond back.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Average backup product . Take proper demo before start

What differentiates Unitrends Backup Software from other similar products?

Unitrends Backup covers enterprise backup, cloud continuity, recovery assurance, ransomware detection, and proactive monitoring at a single platform required by all enterprises.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Unitrends Backup has intuitive interface, easy to use, easy to deployment, multiple varieties of backup options, ensuring efficient use of storage resources, regularly updating, sufficient granular capabilities, great reporting tools, excellent variety of backup options.

What do you dislike most about this product?

File selection process is not normal i.e. not according to structure of folders saved. Software has many features but we need to pay separately which results in more cost. Response from customer support is below expectations.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Unitrends restore quickly and due to simplicity it is easy to learn. It discloses informative reports. The software works out of the box. Backup may be scheduled effortlessly by applying few clicks. Unitrends may be used to backing up physical and virtual assets through a single management interface.

Integration With Storage Arrays Integrates with APIs from major storage vendors (NetApp, HP, Dell EMC) to leverage capabilities in these arrays such as data snapshots and replication.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.

Physical Backup for Multiple Platforms Backs up data and system info for non-virtualized systems. Primarily Windows and Linux servers but also, potentially, AIX, Unix and others.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.
