What differentiates IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management from other similar products?

In our company, IBM MDM is used to manage data from many sources and to show it to the general user base in a clear, useful platform where people can interact and explore. The user interface is straightforward, but the back end requires a lot of work. Incredibly helpful tool suite for managing metadata and information. A nearly full-stop, all-inclusive offering.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The thing I enjoy the most about it is how much easier it makes it for me to swiftly and simply interpret my data due to a useful dashboard that offers improved user interfaces and summary views. Several services to build a strong service-oriented architecture. Database integration is simple, and customization to meet specific needs is simple. The greatest platform for managing consumer data. IBM is a one-stop shop for managing master data, metadata, and reference data. It is also highly adaptable and simple to use. It can communicate with other programs quite easily as well.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The dashboard is the only thing I find annoying because the interface can occasionally get a little “wonky” and experience some minor issues.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I appreciate how simple it is to operate and, more significantly, how simple it is to teach new team members how to use it. I particularly appreciate the option to combine several solutions, such as governance, data management, etc. The IBM Infosphere etl procedure can be used with relative ease because the tool is quite self-explanatory. I appreciate how promptly a technician or customer support agent could assist me if there was a problem.

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Trustworthy
