What differentiates Heap from other similar products?

It even tracks things before I realise that I should be monitoring those features. I have used similar tools in the past, but I had to be very careful to remember to add events to the tool with every new release to be able to follow user interaction. The Heap tool works differently in that it tracks the whole product, and I can choose what I want to monitor. Thanks to that, I can monitor usage of the new feature from day one.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's definitely the ease of use. Even without advanced technical knowledge, I can set up dashboards and monitor the effects of adopting new features. Thanks to that, I can answer almost every business question in minutes. Furthermore, I can easily set up user segmentation, which helps me to monitor which users use particular features and follow their path. We recently added heatmaps and user recordings, which provide additional insights — I can see not only the numbers, but also the real interactions with our product.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There's nothing I dislike. Initially, I had some problems with the configuration of the user recording (we have special requirements), which was frustrating. But we solved those problems and now it works perfectly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would definitely recommend using Heap, especially for people on the product team. I don't know of a better tool for tracking feature adoption. It's so easy to use that you don't need to be a technical person to see its value within minutes. This tool can save you a considerable amount of time when it comes to understanding how your users engage with your tool. Of course, the tool works best when you have a significant number of users who use your product every day.

What differentiates Heap from other similar products?

Autocapture is the big differentiator for us and the main reason for using. It requires very little from developers in order to have basic implementation.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's super intuitive to use. The onboarding process is minimal.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I wish I could have more customization options for visualizations.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

See if you can do a trial so you can experience auto-capture, live data feed, define an event, and create a quick chart.

What differentiates Heap from other similar products?

Heap's big selling point is auto-capture. It automatically captures some events and properties that can be used to define your own events. It means less development time on the front end.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect about Heap is the ease of use. Even if someone doesn't have much experience with Heap or digital analytics, they should be able to use the tool since it's so intuitive.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some basic features are missing, like being able to calculate bounce rate for all users. Competitors have this readily available.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Talk to people who use Heap. :)
