AWS IoT Core gives us a seamless way to connect, monitor, and manage the countless IoT devices running across our facilities. The platform’s ability to handle large volumes of data securely and reliably makes it a critical piece of our IT infrastructure.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

One feature that stands out is the Rules Engine. It simplifies routing messages from devices to different AWS services, like DynamoDB for storage or S3 for archival. It feels like building a custom communication network tailored to our manufacturing needs. The security measures, especially device identity and authentication with AWS IoT Device Defender, give us confidence that our IoT ecosystem is protected against potential threats—a non-negotiable in today’s environment.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I dislike nothing

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Since implementing AWS IoT Core, we’ve reduced machine downtime by nearly 20% and improved overall equipment efficiency (OEE) across the board. The centralized monitoring capabilities have also made it easier to manage multiple facilities, as everything streams into a single dashboard.
