What differentiates Postman from other similar products?

Postman feels like more than just a place to send API requests. I can keep related endpoints together, save different environments, add authentication details, and quickly repeat requests while developing. That makes it especially handy when I'm building or troubleshooting a backend and need to test the same APIs again and again

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The thing I probably use the most is the ability to save and organize requests. Once I have a collection set up for a project, testing an endpoint is usually just a matter of changing a few values and hitting send. It saves me from recreating requests every time I need to check something.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Postman can feel a bit heavy when I only want to make a quick API call. There are also so many options and features that the interface can take some time to get comfortable with. For simple testing, I sometimes find myself using a lighter tool instead.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you work with APIs regularly, I would definitely give Postman a try. Start with a small collection and learn environments, variables, authentication, and request organization before getting into the more advanced features. Once your projects have multiple endpoints, the organization becomes much more valuable.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The automation capabilities also stand out - turning manual API testing into repeatable, CI/CD-integrated processes that can catch regressions automatically. That shift from reactive to proactive testing seems valuable.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I had to restart Postman a couple of times, and even then it would randomly freeze or crash. That’s when I realized that as much as Postman is packed with features, it doesn’t work fine with large collections or lower-end machines. I don't like this type of lagging while testing the APIs.
