What is Oracle CPQ?
Oracle Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) guides customers through a step-by-step process of entering a correctly configured and fully detailed purchase order. Once a correctly configured order is entered, the CPQ solution responds with a price quote including all the proper discounts, terms, and conditions for this specific customer. What differentiates Oracle CPQ from other similar products?
Unlike other CPQ tools which mostly focus on quote generation , Oracle CPQ is something which is quite strong for enterprise-scale automation across sales , ERP and a lot of repetitve management tasks . Main reason it stands out from CPQ tools is that it combines the powerful configuration logic with the already present Oracle ecosystem , making it quite easy to use for organizations already using Oracle tools .
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favourite aspect is that it has the ability to translate extreme complex product and pricing rules into a guided error free sales experience . If we see in the market most CPQ tools can generate quotes but Oracle CPQ is the one which excels in ensuring that the sales teams can configure sophisticated products correctly without any deep technical knowledge which reduces quoting errors and accelerates sales in cycles.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Drawback is that this flexibility of using Oracle CPQ comes with quite lengthy deployments , specialized requirements and lot of efforts in terms of administration . It can feel quite complex for sales teams which are simple and lean .
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I'll say that before choosing Oracle CPQ , carefully evaluate how complex your products are , their pricing models and sales workflows too . As you can achieve most out of it when you have very highly configurable offerings , approval systems which are quite robust and if there is a specific requirement for integration with Oracle systems . If your requirements are quite simple and straightforward may be it is not meant for you.

Approval workflows don't unnecessarily delay deals and complex product bundles are easier to configure and crm integration improves visibility.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Intelligent pricing controls reducing approval bottlenecks. Guided selling features helping sales teams recommend relevant products automated contract and proposal workflows.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Conga cpq proved genuinely effective in this regard because it significantly reduces the most common friction points in the sales process pricing confusion approval delays and quote creation bottlenecks.
