What differentiates Microsoft Entra ID from other similar products?

Microsoft Entra ID has empowered us to approach identity management by providing insights to merge adaptability, security, and intelligence into one unified platform. A new level of security and control has been unlocked for our identity and access management strategy.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

This has enabled me to define clean, logical, and auditable permissions with the help of the role-based access control feature. It also offers real-time sign-in logs and reports, which ultimately provide remarkable visibility into authentication factors.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Although the role-based access control feature is powerful and quite handy, it gets messed up while handling a large number of roles and assignments.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend that you use the conditional access feature for context-aware security and definitely enable the identity protection factor against threat detection.

What differentiates Microsoft Entra ID from other similar products?

The hybrid support works well for us. This platform is enriched with a remarkable list of features and offers more extensibility. Moreover, it promotes the mixture of conditional access and identity protection, which is much stronger and reliable for sure.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I no longer have to manage the credentials of every app manually. Role-based access has made it very easy to configure and maintain while keeping transparency in the team. The identity governance feature is also very helpful in accessing reviews and automating the lifecycle.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It does offer seamless third-party integrations, but setting them up requires much manual configuration. Also, the platform feels extra overwhelming with multiple layers of settings.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This platform can help in keeping your secrets out of the codebase, especially if your devs work across environments using Entra ID.
